Karin teaches art part-time at John F Ross CVI in Guelph. She is also the facilitator of the AP College Board Studio art program. She will be returning to work part-time, this fall teaching a period of l'art visuel to grade nine students and one period of l'art visuel to grade eleven students.
Recently she was recognized as the winner of the Painting and Mixed Media category at the INSIGHTS show this summer at the Welllington County Museum.
Karin is very motivated to get back into the studio to develop more "demolition wallworks" or as Valerie Hegarty uses when describing her own work, "Reverse Archeology"-- incorporating decorative elements such as vintage wallpapers as well as more varied studies of trees and local landscapes. Over the summer she will be busy buildng re-constructing renovation relics to act as supports and shooting reference images around Guelph, Maryhill, Collingwood and Fergus. She will be exhibiting next February 2018 at the Artist Project in Toronto.
She has an Instagram account: ksilverstoneart where followers can see newer work and artworks in process.
